Victoria English and
William Ellington,
respectively Editor and Executive Editor of MedNous,
are seasoned print
journalists who know the importance of serving their readers well.
Medical
entrepreneurs have to make sense of
many disparate facts and events in the areas of government policy,
medical
regulation, intellectual property rights, commercial law, finance and
accounting. Victoria and William hope to help lighten the load by using
their
reporting skills to make complex issues become clear and concise.
Victoria
has worked as a full-time staff reporter and editor for several large
publishing organisations in the US
and Europe for 30
years. William has had a
distinguished career as a financial writer, publisher and new product
developer.
Victoria
started her journalism career as a college student reporting for the
American
civil rights newspaper, The Southern Courier. She
received a Masters
Degree in journalism from the Columbia University School of Journalism
in 1976
and subsequently worked as a press officer at the United Nations in New York.
She joined Dow
Jones & Co as a reporter in 1977 and spent eight years in
continental
Europe with postings in Amsterdam
and Brussels.
In 1987 she
moved to London,
at first with McGraw-Hill and later with Reuters, where eventually she
assumed
the job of medical and health correspondent. In 1999, she joined PJB
Publications as a medical reporter for Scrip World
Pharmaceutical News
and in 2003 she became editor of The Regulatory Affairs
Journals.
Victoria is
the 2002 recipient of the UK Medical Journalists Association award for
excellence in medical journalism.
