The UK government has appointed Chris Brinsmead as life-science business adviser with a mandate of ensuring that the government delivers a supportive business environment for Britain’s life science industry.
Mr Brinsmead is a former chairman of AstraZeneca UK and a former head of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI). He also served as business ambassador for life sciences in the Brown government.
The announcement of the appointment was made on 23 November 2010.
