UCB SA of Belgium has appointed Michele Antonelli and Mark McDade to its executive committee and announced the retirement of Bill Robinson.
Mr Antonelli joined the group in June 2008 and is currently executive vice president for technical operations and quality assurance. Prior to joining UCB, he was senior vice president for biotech manufacturing and process development at Merck Serono.
Mr McDade joined UCB in April as executive vice president for corporate strategy and business development. Previously, he was the chief executive and a director of PDL Biopharma, a publicly-traded biotech company in Redwood City, California, US.
Bill Robinson, who joined UCB in April 2005 to help it become a pure biopharmaceutical company, is retiring effective 31 December.
