Roche Holdings Ltd is making a number of top-level changes as current executives retire or resign. Michael Heuer, chief executive of Roche Diagnostics and executive committee member, will retire at the end of July, having reached the age of 65. He will be replaced by Thomas Schinecker, who currently heads centralised and point of care solutions.

Stephen Feldhaus, head of group communications and executive committee member, is leaving Roche to take up a position outside the company. He will be replaced by Barbara Schädler, currently head of communications and public affairs at the German electric utility, E.ON SE. She will report to Roche’s chief executive, Severin Schwan. Board member Peter Voser is giving up his directorship after he became chief executive in April of the Swiss-Swedish conglomerate, ABB, which ranks as the fifth largest company in Switzerland by sales.

Roche announced the appointments on 11 June 2019.
