Pronova BioPharma ASA has appointed Per-Oluf Olsen as its chief executive officer. He replaces Tomas Settevik who is standing down though he will be nominated as a new member of the board of directors in May 2009.
Mr Olsen has 27 years of experience with Pfizer Inc where he gained extensive international experience in sales, marketing and management. Most recently he was regional executive director for central and eastern Europe. He was previously country manager for Pfizer in Italy, Norway and Denmark and has held a number of senior positions at the company in Norway and the US.
