Ken Macleod, a partner of Paul Capital Advisors UK Ltd in London and a prominent figure in life-science company finance, has been promoted to partner of the parent firm, Paul Capital Partners.
With headquarters in San Francisco, and offices Hong Kong, London, New York, Paris, Toronto and São Paulo, Paul Capital Partners is engaged in specialised financing, such as investing in partnership interests, operating a private-equity fund of funds and purchasing future royalties or product-sales revenue from medical development companies. Paul Capital Partners’ capital commitments total around $6.6 billion.
Dr Macleod is manager of the London office of Paul Capital Partners and Paul Capital Healthcare. Prior to joining Paul Capital in 2004, Dr Macleod was a venture partner of Schroder Venture Life Sciences. He has management experience with Serono, Abbott Laboratories and Beecham Pharmaceuticals.
