Lisette Tiddens-Engwirda, secretary general of the Standing Committee of European Doctors, has been re-elected vice-chair of the Management Board of the European Medicines Agency.
Ms Tiddens-Engwirda has a master’s degree in law and political science and previously worked for the Union of Local Authorities in the Netherlands. Prior to joining the Standing Committee of European Doctors, she was secretary general of the European Organisation of Community Pharmacists.
The EMEA Management Board includes representatives of the European Union member states as well as representatives of patients’ and doctors’ organisations.
