Eduard E. Holdener, who is retiring as chief medical officer of Roche at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in Basel at the end of 2007, has been appointed chairman of NovImmune SA of Geneva, Switzerland, succeeding Bernard Mach, NovImmune’s founder.
Dr Holdener obtained his MD degree at the University of Zurich and held academic positions as a clinical oncologist both in Switzerland and the US before joining Roche in 1986.
NovImmune is developing therapeutic monoclonal antibodies for immune-related diseases and inflammation.
