Samuel Agus, an expert in both neurology and biostatistics, has joined Biophytis SA as chief medical officer to oversee development of the company’s products for age-related degenerative diseases. Biophytis is headquartered in France but Dr Agus will be based in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he will monitor clinical trials in the US. He is a US-Israeli citizen who received a doctor in medicine degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and later worked in Israel, the US and Europe. His most recent job was as CMO of Hansa Medical AB of Sweden.
