Biocartis SA, a privately held Swiss diagnostics company, has appointed Nayan Gregory Parekh as chief executive. He replaces Rudi Pauwels, co-founder and CEO, who has become the company’s executive chairman.
Dr Parekh was most recently with New Rhein Healthcare LLC, a healthcare investment firm, where he was a founding partner. Before that he was head of corporate development at Novartis AG and a member of the Novartis Group Finance Committee. Dr Parekh earned his PhD from Northwestern University in the US and received a BA in economics and political science from the University of Rochester. Biocartis announced the appointment on 30 November.
