The UK drug discovery company, Heptares Therapeutics Ltd, has appointed Barry Kenny to focus on business development and strategic alliances as its chief business officer.
Dr Kenny was previously vice president of drug discovery at Takeda Cambridge Ltd and before that, commercial director at Paradigm Therapeutics Ltd. He was instrumental in the concluding the acquisition of Paradigm by Takeda in 2007. Dr Kenny co-founded Cambridge Drug Discovery in 1997 (CDD) and was director of business development for Biofocus following is merger with CDD in 2001.
Based in Welwyn Garden City, UK, Heptares Therapeutics aims to identify novel drug candidates targeting validated G-protein-coupled receptors in several disease areas.
