This meeting will focus on issues relating to parallel trade, which is the cross-border sale of pharmaceuticals within the EU by traders outside of the manufacturer’s distribution system without the manufacturer’s consent. Parallel trade is a form of arbitrage which has been upheld by the European Court of Justice as being consistent with the principles of free trade. This meeting will take a look at parallel trade in the context of Brexit and other contemporary legal issues.
