Susan Wood has been appointed to the position of senior director, market access for Astellas Pharma Europe Ltd. She was previously senior brand director for the company’s pain management franchise. In her new position she will help develop models that demonstrate the value of new medicinal products to the organisations that pay for them. Dr Wood will report to Kay Drake, vice president of marketing at Astellas Pharma Europe, which is a unit of the Tokyo-based Astellas Pharma Inc.
Astellas announced the appointment on 15 August 2012.
