DBV Technologies SA of France has appointed Stef Koppelman, previously director of research and development at HAL Allergy, to be its general scientific advisor. In his new role Mr Koppelman will provide advice on food allergens and other scientific matters.
Mr Koppelman is also a professor at the University of Nebraska where he works on a food allergy research programme. He is a biochemist by training and received his PhD in 1995 from the University Medical Centre in Utrecht in the Netherlands. He is the editor of a book on the development of immunochemical assays for the quantification of food allergens.
DBV Technologies announced the appointment on 19 July 2012.
