Sanofi SA has appointed Jean-Luc Lowinski to the position of senior vice president, Asia region, effective 1 May. Based in Shanghai, Dr Lowinski will report to Hanspeter Spek, president of global operations, and will become a member of the French company’s global leadership team. Since 2010, Dr Lowinski has been global head of animal health at Bayer. He holds a PhD in veterinary science from the University of Nantes in France and is a graduate from INSEAD, the French business school. He has worked for Bayer since 1992.
Sanofi SA announced the appointment on 2 March 2012.
