Novartis has appointed Klaus Moosmayer, a lawyer, as chief ethics, risk and compliance officer to oversee all of the company’s risk management functions, effective 1 December. He will report to Vas Narasimhan, the chief executive, and have a seat on the executive committee.
Dr Moosmayer has been the chief compliance officer of Siemens AG since 1 January 2014. He has also been chair of the anti-corruption task force of a business advisory committee at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. He holds a doctor of jurisprudence degree from the University of Freiburg in Germany.
Novartis announced the appointment on 14 August 2018.
