Neumora Therapeutics Inc has appointed Joshua Pinto as president and chief executive officer. Dr Pinto joined Neumora in 2021, serving in roles of increasing responsibility before his new appointment. With a PhD in neuroscience and an MBA in finance from McMaster University, Canada, he pairs extensive experience in the biotechnology industry with scientific expertise.
Neumora’s co-founder Paul L. Berns will serve as executive chair. Neumora, a developer of treatments for brain and centrally mediated diseases, also appointed Doron Sagman as chief medical officer. Dr Sagman, a psychiatrist, clinical researcher and published author, brings more than 20 years of executive leadership including at Eli Lilly Canada, in clinical development, medical affairs, regulatory strategy and psychiatry.
