Charles River Laboratories Inc has appointed Nancy Gillett to the newly created position of chief scientific officer as part of a reorganisation that will merge the company’s models for research and services business with its preclinical services business. Dr Gillett will have global oversight of the company’s business including advising on the scientific aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
In addition, Davide Molho, currently the head of the research models and services business, will become president of North American operations. The position of president, European & Asian operations will be filled by Jörg Geller. All three persons will also be corporate executive vice presidents of the company.
