Karen Bush joins Novexel’s scientific advisory board

Karen Bush, an expert in anti-infectives, has been appointed to the scientific advisory board of Novexel SA, a French specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of new antibiotics.

Dr Bush is currently adjunct professor in the Department of Biology at Indiana University. During her research career she has held positions at Johnson & Johnson, Astra, Wyeth and Bristol Myers Squibb. Over this period, she was a member of the scientific teams that developed leading hospital antibiotics including levofloxacin, doripenem, aztreonam and piperacillin-tazobactam. Dr Bush received her Ph.D from the chemistry department at Indiana University.
