Jay Keasling joins Evolva advisory board

Evolva Holding SA has announced that Jay Keasling, the chief executive of the US Joint BioEnergy Institute, has joined its scientific advisory board. Dr Keasling is a leading expert in the field of synthetic biology having led the group that helped develop the technique of producing the anti-malaria treatment, artemisinin, in yeast. Dr Keasling is a co-founder of Amyris Inc and a professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the US.

Also joining the Evolva scientific board is Doug Cameron, founder and managing director of Alberti Advisors. Dr Cameron is the former head of biotechnology at Cargill Inc and has held senior positions at Piper-Jaffray and Khosla Ventures.
