ISA Pharmaceuticals BV has appointed Gerard Platenburg as its new chief executive officer with responsibility for the overall management and strategic direction of the company. Mr Platenburg was previously the CEO of the RNAi therapeutics company, Prosensa Therapeutics BV, which he founded.
Based in Leiden, the Netherlands, ISA Pharmaceuticals is developing therapeutic vaccines against cancer. Its most advanced product is a vaccine against human papillomavirus-induced lesions.
