The European Biopharmaceutical Enterprises (EBE) has appointed Ahmed Bouzidi as president of its board of directors, and François Martelet as vice president for the period 2018-2020. Dr Bouzidi was one of the organisation’s first board members before stepping down and rejoining in 2012. He is the chief executive of Vaxeal Holding SA, a pioneer in immuno-oncology. He holds a master degree in animal biology from the University of Lille, France, and a PhD in cellular biology and MBA in finance from the University of New Hampshire, US.
Dr Martelet has been on the board since 2011. He is chief executive of NetScientific Plc, a healthcare technology IP commercialisation group. Dr Martelet holds a doctorate in medicine and a master’s degree in business from Dijon University and a degree in legal medicine from R. Descartes University School of Medicine, both in France.
The EBE announced the appointments on 2 July 2018.
