Christian Itin, chief executive of Cytos Biotechnology Ltd and former head of Micromet Inc, has joined the board of directors of Kymab Ltd as a non-executive director. Cambridge, UK-based Kymab is an antibody drug discovery and development company. Dr Itin led Micromet as CEO from 2004 until the company’s acquisition by Amgen Inc in March 2012.
Also joining the Kymab board as non-executive directors are David Chiswell, co-founder of Cambridge Antibody Technology, now part of AstraZeneca Plc, and Richard Davis, an investment manager at the Wellcome Trust. The Trust is an investor in Kymab.
Kymab announced the appointments on 29 October 2012.
