Catherine Meaden, associate director of marketing and communications at NHS Direct, has joined the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), as head of policy and public affairs. She will report to Amanda Callaghan, director of corporate affairs. Prior to directing marketing and communications for NHS Direct, the National Health Service’s telephone information service, Ms Meaden held communications roles at the NHS Confederation and at Cancer Research UK.
The ABPI announced the appointment on 6 March 2012.
