The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) has appointed Bina Rawal as director of medical, innovation and research reporting to the organisation’s chief executive, Stephen Whitehead. Dr Rawal joins the ABPI from the Wellcome Trust where she was head of clinical development within the Technology Transfer Division. Prior to working at the Wellcome Trust she held senior positions at Roche and within research and development at GlaxoSmithKline PLC.
The ABPI announced the appointment on 23 July 2012.
