Basilea Pharmaceutica Ltd, a Swiss company developing antibiotic and antifungal drugs, has appointed Joachim Blatter as chief financial officer, effective mid-January 2012. He will report to Ronald Scott, the chief operating officer, who has been acting as interim CFO.
Mr Blatter has held various senior finance positions over the past 20 years, most recently as chief financial officer of Swissmetal Industries Ltd in Dornach, Switzerland. Basilea announced the appointment on 7 December.
