Anne Whitaker, a senior vice president at GlaxoSmithKline Plc, is joining Sanofi SA as president, North America pharmaceuticals, effective 1 September 2011. She will be a member of the company’s global management committee, reporting to Hanspeter Spek, president of global operations. Ms Whitaker has been head of GSK’s cardiovascular, metabolic and urology unit since 2009. She holds a bachelors degree in chemistry and business administration from the University of North Alabama in the US.
