While still in its infancy, three-dimensional (3D) cell culture, is finding more and more research applications. A 3D culture is an artificially created environment in which cells grow in all three dimensions. This has applications in many fields including bioprinting and microfluidics. This meeting will review recent developments, with discussions about disease modelling, organoids, organ-on-chip technologies and the creation of induced pluripotent stem cells.
