Thomas Hecht, vice chairman of the board of directors of Cytos Biotechnology Ltd, is being proposed as chairman to succeed Francois L’Eplattenier, who is not standing for re-election. Dr Hecht is a consultant and provides services to the pharmaceutical industry in medical and marketing development and in licensing strategies. Previously, he was vice president of marketing for haematology, oncology and new products at Amgen (Europe) AG. He has been a member of the Cytos board since April 2003.
