Thomas Dittrich, a former Amgen executive, is to become chief financial officer and a member of the executive committee at Shire Plc. His appointment takes effect in early 2018. He will be joining the Ireland-based company from Sulzer Ltd where he is currently CFO. Sulzer is an industrial engineering company. Before that he was chief accounting officer of Amgen Inc and CFO of Amgen International.
Mr Dittrich began his career as a management consultant.
Shire announced the appointment on 20 November 2017.
