Sanofi SA has appointed Suresh Kumar to the newly created role of executive vice president, external affairs. Mr Kumar was most recently a New York-based partner in the life science practice of the Oliver Wyman Group. Before joining the firm he was Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Director General of the US & Foreign Commercial Service. He has also been an advisor to the Clinton Foundation focusing on sub-Saharan Africa. At Sanofi, he will help set strategy relating to global health needs.
Sanofi announced the appointment on 26 May 2015.
