Steve Jackson, a pioneer in the field of DNA repair, is to chair a new scientific advisory board at Mission Therapeutics Ltd, a company that is targeting deubiquitylating enzymes for mitochondrial and other diseases. Professor Jackson is also co-founder and chief scientific officer of the company, which is located in Cambridge, UK.

Joining him on the board are Philip Cohen, professor of enzymology at the University of Dundee; Patrick Chinnery, head of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge; Jacob Corn, assistant adjunct professor in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley and Titia Sixma, head of the Biochemistry Division at the Netherlands Cancer Institute.

Mission Therapeutics announced the appointments on 27 June 2017.
