Sobi appoints Wills Hughes-Wilson to government affairs post

Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (Sobi) has appointed Wills Hughes-Wilson as vice president, government affairs and policy with responsibility for the company’s contacts with stakeholders in the health policy area. Ms Hughes-Wilson is formerly vice president of health and market access policy at Genzyme Corp (now Sanofi SA). Prior to working at Genzyme, she was executive director of the European Biopharmaceutical Enterprises, the biotech affiliate of the European pharmaceutical industry federation, Efpia. Ms Hughes-Wilson is an honours graduate in law from the University of Durham in the UK.

Sobi announced the appointment on 31 January 2012.
