Saqib Islam, formerly of Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc, is to join the messenger RNA (mRNA) specialist Moderna Therapeutics as chief business officer on 9 May. Mr Islam has a background in investment banking having worked at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse Securities. He received a bachelor’s degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and a Juris Doctor degree from the Columbia Law School in New York, US.
Moderna Therapeutics announced the appointment on 28 March 2016.
