Konstantinos Kosmatopoulos becomes CEO of Vaxon

Konstantinos Kosmatopoulos, an immunologist, has become chief executive of Vaxon Biotech SA, a company that he founded in 2004 on the basis of his work as research director at Inserm. Dr Kosmatopoulos is currently the chief scientific officer. The appointment comes as Vaxon is poised to complete one early clinical and one preclinical study of candidate cancer vaccines.

Dr Kosmatopoulos received his medical degree from the University of Thessaloniki in Greece and his PhD in immunology from Paris XI University in France.

Vaxon announced the appointment on 30 March 2015.
