Jason Avery, the former head of business development at Affitech A/S, has been appointed chief business officer of Merus BV, a therapeutic antibody company in the Netherlands. Mr Avery was also chief business officer at Cambridge Antibody Technology which was acquired by AstraZeneca Plc in 2006.

Merus announced the appointment on 15 June 2012.
