EuropaBio appoints GSK executive as chairman

EuropaBio, the European Association for Bioindustries, has appointed Andrea Rappagliosi as chairman for two yeas, replacing Steen Riisgaard, whose term has expired.

Dr Rappagliosi heads the Brussels office of GlaxoSmithKline and is a GSK vice president for European Government Affairs. His predecessor as EuropaBio chairman, Mr Riisgaard, is president and chief executive of Novozymes A/S. He will remain a EuropaBio board member.
