David Venables appointed CEO at Ark Therapeutics

David Venables, head of manufacturing at Ark Therapeutics Group Plc, has been appointed chief executive, effective 1 August. He will succeed Martyn Williams who is leaving the company. Dr Venables was previously chief operating officer of Intercell USA Inc, based in Maryland. He holds a PhD in mammalian cell fermentation from Surrey University in the UK and worked at Invitrogen Corp and BioReliance Europe before joining Intercell in 2007.

Ark Therapeutics announced the appointment on 5 July 2012.
